Issue number: 9
Date: 2013
On behalf of the editorial staff and all persons and institutions cooperating with satisfaction, I present to you the 9th volume of the Yearbook of the Polish Salt Mining Association entitled Salt Review. The satisfaction is all the greater because after many years of publishing our articles in the "borrowed" pages of other magazines, we finally decided to publish our own salt magazine. The Salt Review will always be published before the Quo Vadis Sal Symposium and will contain conference materials in the form of articles and abstracts as well as other publications and information on the broadly understood salt mining industry. Articles will be printed in Polish or English with extensive summaries in the other language. Due to the start of the edition cycle, the journal will not be scored at first, but we will make every effort to include the previous 8 volumes and assign points. At the same time, the English version of the Salt Review will be continued, with English-language articles published so far in the awarded quarterly Geology, Geophysics & Environment. The publication of two volumes of publications on Polish salt industry is a great achievement of the Association and all solar farmers. However, it would not be possible without the cordial cooperation and financial support of companies associated with the Polish salt industry. I would like to thank KGHM Polska Miedź SA, IKS Solino SA, Wieliczka Salt Mine, G-Drilling S.A., CFT Polska Sp. z o.o., Sandvik Mining and Construction Sp. z o. o. Hydronafta Piła Sp. z o. o. OBR GSChem Chemkop for financial support in our editorial activities as well as proper understanding and support of the beautiful centuries-old tradition of creating a bibliography of our history; especially in the current era of incomprehensible rush to digitize humanity. I would like to thank the authors of the articles, reviewers and the entire editorial team for the enormous work put into the preparation of the annual Przegląd Solny. I am convinced that this type of cooperation, consistently continued, will bring real benefits to the Polish salt mining industry and will leave important and reliable information about our contribution to its development. With mining greetings, God bless!
